Flower Power! Remember that?
In 1969 and 1970, there were three different floral patterns offered by
Plymouth (“Mod Tops”) and Dodge (“Floral Tops”),
installed on the vinyl roof, seat inserts, and door panels:
One could order a Mod-appointed car in four possible configurations. (Note: On Plymouths, the Mod Top and interior were separate options):
- Mod Top with floral interior: Floral vinyl roof plus floral seat inserts in both front and rear seats. This was the most common setup.
- Mod Top without floral interior: All Dodges (Darts, SuperBees, and Coronets) were configured this way. They were called “Floral Tops” rather than “Mod Tops.” There is at least one Barracuda with this configuration.
- Floral interior only: A regular vinyl roof with floral interior. This was very rare — like this example ordered from the factory.
- Convertible with floral interior: Some claim a convertible Barracuda could be ordered with a solid-color top and floral interior.
We’re not aware of any confirmed examples.

Historically, in general, these cars aren’t considered highly valuable compared to other muscle cars, so they often don’t command a big premium. However, some have sold for notable prices — for example, Steven Juliano’s 1969 Barracuda Mod Top sold for $440,000 in 2019.

Background and General Mod Top & Floral Top Information:
These cars were manufactured beginning with the 1969 model year and continued into 1970. They were designed to appeal to the “Groovy Set” of young buyers by offering colorful floral full vinyl tops and matching floral seat and door panel inserts.
They were advertised as “Pop Prints”.
The Plymouths were branded as “Mod Tops” and could be ordered with the floral vinyl top, the floral interior, or both — they were separate options. Dodge offered “Floral Tops,” which featured the floral vinyl tops but came only with standard (non-floral) interiors.
